Our August 2023 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ1 preowned sales market;
The Citation CJ1 market saw aircraft available for sale double from 5 to 10 since our June update. With 193 Citation CJ1s in the fleet, 5.2% are now available for sale. With the entrance of more aircraft available for sale, the average days on market for current listings have decreased from 107 days as of our June update to 75 days now. Both the average list price and average sold price decreased slightly since our June update. The current average list price is $2,069,594 and the current average sold price is $1,982,143. With the addition of more Citation CJ1s entering the market for sale, we anticipate seeing more sales occurring in the months to come. As available aircraft for sale decreased, so did the sales of Citation CJ1s, and now with listings on the rise that’s why we expect to see sales start picking up again.
