Our October 2023 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ2+ preowned sales market;
The Citation CJ2+ currently has a fleet size of 223 aircraft, and 7 of which are listed for sale at the time of publishing this update. Of the markets we follow, the CJ2+ market has the lowest percentage of the fleet for sale at 3.1% currently.
From August to September, the average asking price of a Citation CJ2+ dropped from $5.16 Million down to $4.68 Million. There were a few CJ2+s that were withdrawn from the market which affected that average. The average sold price remained mostly unchanged with a current average sold price of $4.62 Million in September from $4.63 Million in August.
With the few aircraft being taken off the market and a few new listings added, the Citation CJ2+ average days on market (currently for sale) lowered slightly from 228 in August to 219 in September. There was no change in September for the time it took a Citation CJ2+ to sell, with an average time on market of 94 days before closing the sale. Citation CJ2+s sold in September, with 14 selling since April.
