Our September 2023 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ3+ preowned sales market;
The Citation CJ3+ fleet continues to grow as the manufacturer is still fulfilling orders. Currently, there are 249 Citation CJ3+s in the fleet, and each month there are a few more added to that number via new factory deliveries. There are currently 14 Citation CJ3+s for sale, or 5.6% of the total fleet.
Pre-owned Citation CJ3+ sales have been up and down since December, but we have noticed more and more CJ3+s enter the market for sale since April. Some owners are choosing to take delivery of newer models, and some are moving up to a larger aircraft as their business needs evolve. Either way, the Citation CJ3+ pre-owned market is full of quality aircraft options and is in a strong position going into the busy season for aircraft sales.
The average asking price over the last 6 months is $8.58 Million, and the average sold price is just lower at $8.525 Million.
