Citation M2 Market Update July 2026

July 2026 Citation M2 Market Report - The Jet Agent

Fleet Size and Availability

There are currently 19 Citation M2 aircraft available for sale worldwide, including nine off-market opportunities. This represents 6.2% of the fleet; for this particular market, this is a significantly tight number.

Inventory declined from 29 aircraft in January to 24 in April and June, with the current total now at 19. This reduction has tightened buyer selection, although nearly half of the available aircraft are being marketed privately.

The significant off-market inventory means buyers relying only on public listing sites are not seeing the full marketplace.

Market Listings

Current asking prices range from $3,400,000 to $4,630,000, while active listings average 174 days on market.

The pricing range reflects differences in model year, total time, TAP Blue enrollment, damage history, cosmetics, equipment, and overall pedigree, as well as upgrades such as the G3000 “NG” or Next Generation upgrade, Tamarack winglets, and WiFi.

Earlier Citation M2 aircraft in the applicable serial-number range may be upgraded to the newest Garmin G3000 standard, sometimes referred to as the G3000NG. The upgrade costs more than $200,000, permits installation of the GXW8000 weather radar system, and provides a path for other future avionics enhancements. Aircraft that have already completed this upgrade may offer buyers greater capability while avoiding a substantial future expense.

Sales Activity

Twenty-seven Citation M2 aircraft sold during the past six months, including one off-market transaction. These sales represent 8.8% of the fleet.

Reported sale prices ranged from $2,000,000 to $4,950,000, and sold aircraft averaged 159 days on market. Monthly activity included seven sales in January, three in February, five in March, six in April, four in May, and two in June.

Six-month sales exceeded the number of aircraft currently available, demonstrating continued buyer activity. However, the decline from seven January transactions to two in June should be monitored as the market enters the second half of the year.

Key Takeaways

• Nineteen M2 aircraft are currently available, including nine off-market opportunities.
• Inventory has declined from 29 aircraft in January to 19 today.
• Twenty-seven aircraft sold during the past six months.
• Sold aircraft averaged 159 days on market, compared with 174 days for current listings.
• Buyers continue to prioritize TAP Blue coverage, good cosmetics, pedigree, and condition.

Key Insight

The Citation M2 market remains active, with sales exceeding current inventory during the past six months. Buyers should evaluate more than model year and total time, as TAP Blue enrollment and completion of the later-standard Garmin G3000 upgrade can materially affect capability, future expense, and resale value.
