Our April 2024 update on what’s happening in the Citation M2 preowned sales market;
In March, the Citation M2 family continued to grow. Thanks to new deliveries from the manufacturer, the M2 (including the Gen2 variant) fleet grew from 361 aircraft to 364 aircraft. Of those 364, there are 21 for sale (5.8% of the fleet), up from last month when there were 15 for sale (4.2% of the fleet).
Asking prices for the Citation M2s available for sale today range from $3,395,000 to $6,500,000, and have spent an average of 75 days on the market. Â The current days on market average is smaller than usual due to the number of aircraft sold in December 2023 (14 M2s) and resultant turnover of inventory. Â Over the last six months, the average number of days to sell an M2 was 163 days. Â As some of newer listings are hitting the market, and selling quickly, we anticipate seeing that average decrease over the next few months.
Over the last six months, 35 Citation M2s have sold, ranging in price from $3,400,000 to $6,250,000.
Listing activity and sales of the Citation M2 have been steadily increasing after the usual slow start to the year. We anticipate seeing this trend continue as quality listings hit the market and buyers remain active in their search for the right aircraft.
