Our August 2024 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ1+ preowned sales market;
The Citation CJ1+ fleet is the smallest in the Citation Jet family, with 100 aircraft currently in operation. Of those, seven are on the market, representing 7% of the fleet. This is a slight decrease from last month when there were eight CJ1+s available, or 8% of the fleet.
As for the CJ1+s currently listed for sale, there haven’t been any new additions to the market in about 75 days, which has caused the average days on market to increase. These CJ1+s have now been listed for an average of 270 days, up from 229 days last month. The asking prices for these aircraft range from $2,400,000 to around $3,000,000.
In terms of recent sales, the last two CJ1+s sold had relatively short time-on-market, bringing the six-month average down from 247 days to 212 days. One CJ1+ was sold in July, and eight have been sold over the past six months, with two of those transactions occurring off-market. The selling prices for these aircraft ranged from $2,350,000 to approximately $3,050,000.
