Citation XLS+ Market Update:

The Citation XLS+ fleet has been active over the past six months, with steady listing activity and fluctuating sales. Asking and selling prices have varied widely, making it crucial to analyze each aircraft’s value carefully. We’re also tracking the latest XLS model, the Gen2 variant.
- Availability: There are 313 Citation XLS+ aircraft in operation, with 16 currently for sale—representing 5.1% of the fleet. This is up from last month, when 12 aircraft were listed, or 3.8% of the fleet.
- Listings: The 16 aircraft currently for sale have been on the market for an average of 203 days, a drop from last month’s average of 237 days. Asking prices range from $7,000,000 to $12,400,000. The aircraft model years span from 2009 to 2021, with total airframe times ranging from just over 900 hours to more than 10,000 hours. This offers a wide variety of options for potential buyers.
- Sales: There were no Citation XLS+ sales in September, down from two sales in August. Over the past six months, eight XLS+ aircraft changed hands, including one off-market transaction. Publicly listed aircraft spent an average of 134 days on the market before selling—slightly up from last month’s average of 126 days. Sold prices ranged from $7,100,000 to $11,700,000, reflecting the diverse offerings in this fleet.
Citation XLS Gen2 Update:
While activity has been limited, we continue to monitor the XLS Gen2 fleet closely. There are 44 Gen2 jets in operation, with four currently for sale (9.1% of the fleet). Although there were no sales in September, four have sold over the last six months. As more data becomes available, we will provide a more comprehensive update.
