Listing activity for the XLS fleet has declined since April, with a brief spike in September. Sales activity has mostly mirrored this trend, dropping since June, with a sales increase in September matching the rise in listings.
Let’s check out the latest trends in the XLS market:
- Availability: There are 325 Citation XLS jets in operation, with nine currently for sale (2.8% of the fleet). This is slightly up from last month, when seven (2.2%) were listed. September had the fewest listings this year.
- Listings: The nine XLS aircraft for sale today have been on the market for an average of 125 days, down significantly from last month’s 228-day average. Asking prices range from $4,495,000 to $7,200,000, offering a range of options for buyers.
- Sales: Two XLS planes sold in October, down from three in September. Fourteen XLSs changed ownership in the last six months, with only two off-market sales. The days on market (DOM) for recent sales rose to 173 days, up from 131 days in September. Recent sale prices ranged between $3,700,000 and $5,800,000.
