Citation CJ1+ Market Update:
The Jet Agent is pleased to provide the following CJ1+ market update for November 2024.
The Citation CJ1+ is the smallest fleet in the light-jet family of Citations. Of note, there hasn’t been any surprising sales or listing activity recently, but this month illustrates how the market functions. The “For Sale History” and “Sold History” graphs align almost perfectly. As more CJ1+ airplanes became available for sale, we saw more transactions occurring.
Here’s a closer look at the market for the small but popular Citation CJ1+:
- Availability: Only 100 CJ1+ aircraft remain in operation today. Of those, seven are currently for sale (7% of the fleet). For the past three market updates, seven CJ1+ jets have remained on the market. Notably, our graphs show how many were available at any point during the month.
- Listings: The seven CJ1+ jets currently for sale have been on the market an average of 121 days. Last month, the average was 111 days. If you’re in the market for a CJ1+ aircraft, expect asking prices between $2,050,000 and $3,000,000.
- Sales: One CJ1+ aircraft sold in October, with 11 changing ownership over the last six months. Of those, three were not listed (off-market). Publicly listed CJ1+s spent an average of 258 days on the market before trading, up slightly from 250 days last month.
