Citation Mustang Market Update:
The Jet Agent is pleased to provide the following Mustang market update for November 2024.
We saw a significant jump in Citation Mustang sales in October! Sales had been trending down since June, but October reversed that trend. Four Mustang airplanes were sold from Egypt, and several others were withdrawn from the market, reducing the number available for sale.
Let’s take a look at recent Mustang fleet activity:
- Availability: The Citation Mustang fleet currently has 472 aircraft in operation. Of these, 21 are for sale (4.4% of the fleet). This number is down from last month, when 28 airplanes were for sale, representing 5.9% of the fleet.
- Listings: Today, the 21 Mustang jets for sale have been on the market an average of 155 days. Last month, the average was 197 days. Asking prices for available Citation Mustangs range from $1,275,000 to $2,750,000. As mentioned, several Mustang aircraft were withdrawn from the market in October, reducing availability alongside the month’s sales.
- Sales: Nine Citation Mustangs sold in October, up from two in September. Over the past six months, 41 Mustang aircraft changed ownership, with nine were unadvertised and sold off-market. Publicly listed Mustangs spent an average of 166 days on the market before selling, up from 130 days last month. Over the past six months, sold prices for Citation Mustangs ranged from $545,000 to $2,400,000.
