Citation M2 Market Update:
The Citation M2 market has experienced rising listing and sales activity over the past six months, with the available fleet hovering around 10% for the last three months.
Here’s a closer look at recent market dynamics:
Availability: The total M2 fleet remains at 380 aircraft, with no new Gen2 deliveries in November. Of these, 38 are currently listed for sale, representing 10% of the fleet—slightly down from 40 listings last month (10.5%).
Listings: The 38 M2 (and Gen2) aircraft for sale have been on the market for an average of 154 days, up from 141 days last month. Current asking prices range from $3,500,000 to $7,000,000. Buyers have several appealing options, including a few off-market opportunities.
Sales: Sales are heating up, with six M2s sold in November, up from four in October. Over the past six months, 18 M2s have traded hands, including three off-market transactions. Publicly listed M2s spent an average of 144 days on the market before selling—up from just 118 days last month. Sale prices during this period ranged from $3,300,000 to approximately $6,000,000. We expect to see a good number of M2s sold in December.
