Citation M2 Market Update:
The Jet Agent is pleased to provide the following M2 market update for January 2025.
We have observed M2 listing activity trending up since June 2024, and sales trending up since September. December 2024 recorded 11 sales, the most since December 2023 when there were 14 sales recorded.
Here’s a closer look at recent market dynamics:
Availability: In December, the manufacturer delivered three new Citation M2 Gen2s growing the total M2 fleet to 383 aircraft in operation today. Of those, 34 are currently for sale (8.9% of the fleet). This is down from last month when there were 38 for sale, or 10.0% of the fleet.
Listings:Looking first at the 34 M2s available for sale today, they have been on the market for an average of 168 days so far. This is up slightly from last month when the average was 154 days. There were only four M2s introduced to the market for sale in December, and many of the sales that occurred in December were for listings that had spent fewer days on market than the average, causing the average to creep up. If you’re in the market for a Citation M2 today, you can expect to see asking prices range from $3,500,000 to $7,000,000.
Sales:As we mentioned previously, 11 M2s sold in December, up from six in November. Over the last six months, 27 M2s were sold with four of those being sold off-market. The M2s that were publicly listed for sale spent an average of 146 days on the market before selling, up only two days since our update last month. The M2s that sold over the last six months range in sold price from $3,300,000 to $6,100,000.
