About

Citation XLS

The Citation XLS builds upon the proven Excel platform with upgraded engines, enhanced avionics, and improved interior refinement—delivering the comfort of a midsize jet with the efficiency and flexibility of a light jet. Powered by Pratt & Whitney PW545B engines, the XLS offers stronger climb and cruise performance while maintaining short-field capability. The aircraft retains the straight wing and stand-up cabin derived from the Citation X fuselage, with a dropped aisle for additional headroom and large oval windows that fill the cabin with natural light. Inside, the XLS introduced upgraded materials, improved soundproofing, and refined cabin styling for a more luxurious passenger experience. Certified for single-pilot operation under exemption, the aircraft climbs to 45,000 feet, cruises at 433 knots, and offers a range of approximately 1,800 nautical miles. Combining midsize comfort with light-jet efficiency, the Citation XLS remains one of the most popular and versatile business jets in the world.
