August’s reports revealed major changes across several segments, with three Citation models standing out for their rapid changes.
Following are the August 2025 Movers and Shakers: The Citation M2 and Gen 2, the Citation Ultra and Citation CJ1.

Top 3 Citation Markets to Watch Now
1. Citation M2 & Gen2 – Inventory Surge
The M2 & Gen2 market saw the sharpest inventory increase, climbing from 33 listings in June to 40 in July. This is the highest rise in more than a year. Despite steady demand with 26 aircraft sold over the past six months, supply continues to outpace absorption. Why it matters: Buyers have more choices of Citation M2 aircraft than ever, but sellers should prepare for longer marketing times as inventory pressure builds.2. Citation Ultra – Rebound in Listings
After bottoming at just 14 listings in April, the Citation Ultra market rebounded to 22 aircraft available as of July. This represents a 57% increase in inventory in just three months! Why it matters: Demand remains steady with 13 sales in the past six months, but the rising number of options creates downward pressure on both days on market and pricing consistency.3. Citation CJ1 – Market Volatility
The CJ1 segment has been especially volatile. Inventory rose to 22 in June before pulling back to 18 in July. Sales spiked in April with eight jets sold, then dropped back to just two in both May and July. Why it matters: This stop-and-start activity suggests buyer hesitancy, jumping only when strong aircraft hit the market. The Big Picture for Citation Markets
Across these three markets, rising inventory is creating more negotiating leverage for buyers. Sellers should adjust expectations on pricing and timelines, while buyers can find expanded opportunities to secure well-equipped aircraft at competitive values.
