We are seeking a highly motivated entry-level Aircraft Sales Director to join our team that is eager to learn the business and deliver top-notch service to our clients.
As the Aircraft Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing client sales and acquisitions of aircraft within the assigned market territory, with a primary focus on selling business light jets and turboprops. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide them with expert advice on aircraft sales and acquisitions. You will also be responsible for managing the sales process, from initial contact through closing, as well as maintaining strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business. You will be guided by senior sales staff and mentored to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to generate new business opportunities.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on the aircraft that will best fit their mission, needs and stated desires.
- Provide guidance on the management, operation and maintenance of aircraft in your assigned markets, with the assistance of senior sales staff.
- Manage the sales process, from initial contact through closing, including negotiating sales contracts and overseeing the delivery process.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and market conditions to become the expert provider of market information in your assigned markets.
- Establish strong industry contacts through phone calls, emails, and conference attendance to enhance industry insight and uncover new opportunities.
- Daily prospecting via phone and email to identify potential listings, off-market aircraft and buyers using databases such as AMSTAT and JETNET.
- Contribute to client deliverables such as presentations, aircraft market reports, comparisons, and financial models.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or an aviation-related field
- 2+ years of experience working for an aircraft sales or similar company.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close sales contracts.
- Experience in aircraft management, operations and/or maintenance oversight.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
