Our July 2024 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ1 preowned sales market;
There are 195 Citation CJ1s in operation today, and of those, 16 are currently available for sale, which is 8.2% of the fleet. This is an increase from last month, when 13 CJ1s were available for sale, or 6.7% of the fleet.
Focusing on the 16 CJ1s currently for sale, they have been on the market for an average of 172 days, which is mostly unchanged from last month’s average of 170 days. The asking prices for these jets range from $1,650,000 to roughly $2,500,000. June saw four new CJ1 listings introduced to the market, which has kept the average days on market relatively steady. New listings entering the market offset the increase in days on market for older listings, balancing the overall average.
Looking at the sold data for the Citation CJ1 market, one CJ1 was sold in June, and 10 have been sold over the last six months, with only one of these being sold off-market. The nine CJ1s listed on the market spent an average of 156 days before selling, up slightly from last month’s average of 151 days. The sold prices for all CJ1s over the last six months ranged from $1,250,000 to $2,250,000.
