Citation CJ1 Market Update:
The Jet Agent is pleased to provide the following CJ1 market update for October 2024.
Listing activity for the Citation CJ1 has been on the rise since March. At The Jet Agent, we have been monitoring this market closely, tracking listings and sales.
Here is the latest with the CJ1 market:
- Availability: There are 195 CJ1s in operation today. Twenty of those are currently for sale, representing 10.3% of the fleet. This is up from last month when there were 17 for sale, or 8.7% of the fleet.
- Listings: Since March 2024, Citation CJ1 listings have been on the rise. Today, there are 20 CJ1s for sale with an average of 145 days on the market. This is down from an average of 206 days on market last month. Asking prices today range from $1,300,000 to around $2,500,000. Options with upgraded cockpits and refreshed cosmetics are commanding ask prices on the higher end of that range.
- Sales: Only one CJ1 sold in September, unchanged from August. Over the past six months, 10 CJ1s changed ownership, including two off-market transactions. Publicly listed CJ1s spent an average of 129 days on the market before selling—down slightly from 142 days last month. Recent sale prices have ranged from $1,250,000 to $1,850,000.
