Citation CJ3+ Market Update:
The Jet Agent is pleased to provide the following CJ3+ market update for January 2025.
Listing activity for the CJ3+ has been trending down over the last six months, with sales staying steady over the past few months. This has shown us that demand has stayed strong while purchasing opportunities are decreasing, giving sellers the upper hand in negotiations.
Let’s take a closer look at the CJ3+ market:
Availability: Thanks to two new deliveries from the manufacturer in December, the Citation CJ3+ fleet now has 286 aircraft in operation. Of those, nine are currently for sale which is 3.1% of the fleet. This is down two from last month when there were 11 for sale, or 3.9% of the fleet.
Listings: The nine CJ3+ aircraft for sale today have been on the market for an average of 155 days so far. This is up from last month when the average was 139 days. Asking prices today range from approximately $9,000,000 to $10,900,000. With the majority of CJ3+s for sale today being 2018 models or later, there is still a strong demand for the earlier model year options.
Sales: Three CJ3+ aircraft sold in December, unchanged from November and October. Over the last six months 18 CJ3+s were sold, with 4 of those being off-market sales. The publicly listed CJ3+s spent an average of 132 days on the market before selling, which is up from last month when the average was 121 days. Sales prices over the last six months range from $6,300,000 to $10,995,000.
