Our September 2023 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ4 preowned sales market;
The Citation CJ4 is one of the largest fleets in the Cessna family of light jets, only trailing the Mustang in terms of delivered units. The CJ4 is still in production under the GEN2 variant, and the fleet is growing in size by a few units each month via new factory deliveries.

5.1% (21 units) of the fleet is currently available for sale in the pre-owned market, with that number increasing each month since May. Pre-owned sales have bounced between 1 and 4 units per month since March, and August was the first month this year to report no pre-owned sales. The average asking price has stayed consistently in the low to mid $8 millions, from $8.27MM to $8.42MM.

The selection of quality pre-owned CJ4s (and the GEN2 variant) is strong, and buyers will have great options to choose from as we see activity start to rise going into the 4th Quarter of 2023.
