Citation Encore Market Update:
The Jet Agent is pleased to provide the following Encore market update for December 2024.
While the Encore market typically moves at a “slow and steady” pace, listing and sales activity dipped in November, marking the lowest listing activity in six months. However, even with the slowdown, one Encore sale closed during the month.
Let’s look at the market for this beloved legacy Citation:
Availability:
There are currently 159 Citation Encores in operation, with 6 aircraft listed for sale—3.8% of the fleet. This represents a decrease from eight aircraft last month (5% of the fleet).
Listings:
The six Citation Encores available today have been on the market for an average of 117 days, a slight decrease from 119 days last month. The selection remains strong, with only one high-hour aircraft (12,700 AFTT) among the listings; the rest have less than 5,000 hours. Asking prices range from $2,500,000 to $4,650,000.
Sales:
One Citation Encore sold in November, an off-market transaction involving a high-hour aircraft. Over the last six months, ten Encores have changed hands, including four off-market sales. Publicly listed Encores spent an average of 142 days on the market before selling, consistent with last month’s average. Sale prices during this period ranged from $2,900,000 to approximately $4,700,000.
