The Citation Encore has a unique place in the sales market. Buyers often choose the Encore for the value it offers compared to similar aircraft. With a 435-knot speed, 1,800 nm range, and eight seats (including a belted lavatory), this light jet impresses. It can be flown single-pilot and costs under $5 million.
Here’s an overview of the Citation Encore market:
Availability: There are 159 Citation Encores in operation today, with nine currently for sale (5.7% of the fleet). This is unchanged from last month, when nine were also available at the time of our update.
Listings: The nine Citation Encores for sale today have been on the market an average of 154 days, up slightly from 145 days last month. Asking prices range from $2,500,000 to $4,750,000. Engine programs, aircraft pedigree, and hours on the airframe and engines most influence an Encore’s price.
Sales: Two Citation Encores sold in August, with nine selling over the past six months. Four of those nine sold off-market, without public advertising. Publicly listed Encores spent an average of 120 days on the market before selling, up from 98 days last month. Over the last six months, Encores sold in a range of $2,900,000 to around $4,700,000. Prices and aircraft conditions can vary widely. Working with a knowledgeable broker is essential to ensure you’re getting a quality aircraft at a fair price.
