Citation M2 Market Update:
Listing activity has been rising for the Citation M2 (and Gen2 variant) over the last five months. Recently, up to 44 M2s have been listed for sale. October saw increased sales, suggesting possible higher activity by year-end.
Here’s a closer look at the Citation M2 market:
- Availability: There were no new M2 Gen2 deliveries last month, keeping the M2 fleet at 380 in operation. Currently, 40 M2s are for sale, representing 10.5% of the fleet for sale. This is up from the previous month when 37 M2s were for sale, or 9.7% of the fleet.
- Listings: The 40 M2s for sale today have been on the market for an average of 141 days, slightly up from last month’s 133 days. Buyers can expect asking prices from $3,500,000 to $6,250,000. With many options available, M2 buyers have a great opportunity to find the ideal aircraft.
- Sales: Four Citation M2s sold in October, up from just one in September. In the past six months, 18 M2s sold, including five off-market. Publicly listed M2s took an average of 138 days to sell, up from last month’s 112 days. Recent sales prices range from approximately $3,150,000 to $6,000,000.
