Our September 2024 update on what’s happening in the Citation M2 preowned aircraft market;
In August, there were 4 new Citation M2 Gen2s delivered by the manufacturer, increasing the total fleet size to 376 M2s in operation. 31 of those are currently for sale, representing 8.2% of the fleet. This is up from the previous month when there were 28 for sale, or 7.5% of the fleet.
The Citation M2s (including Gen2 models) currently for sale have been on the market for an average of 132 days, up slightly from the previous month when the average was 123 days. If you are in the market for an M2 today, you can expect to see asking prices between $3,595,000 and $6,395,000. There is still a great variety of M2 aircraft available including a few off-market options to fit the needs and desires of every buyer.
There were 3 M2s sold in August, and 24 have sold over the last six months. 9 of the 24 sales were conducted off-market, meaning without the aircraft being advertised to the public. On-market options spent an average of 110 days on the market before selling, up from the previous month when the average was 96 days. The M2s that sold over the last six months ranged in sales prices from $3,300,000 to $6,300,000.
