Let’s dive into the current Citation XLS+ market. Of the 313 Citation XLS+ jets in operation today, 13 are currently for sale, which represents 4.2% of the fleet. Earlier this year, from January to May, we saw a general increase in listing activity for the XLS+, but that activity has tapered off slightly since May.
Taking a closer look at the 13 Citation XLS+ jets on the market today, they’ve been listed for an average of 225 days. Interestingly, only 2 of these aircraft have over 6,000 AFTT, with the average AFTT for the current listings just over 4,200 hours. This means that there are plenty of high-quality, well-maintained XLS+ options available, reflected in the asking prices which range from $7,000,000 to $12,650,000.
Now, let’s turn to the sales data. In July, 1 Citation XLS+ was sold, bringing the total to 8 over the last six months. Of those, 2 were off-market transactions, meaning they were sold privately without public advertisement. For the publicly listed XLS+ jets, they spent an average of 80 days on the market before finding a buyer. The selling prices for the XLS+ aircraft over the last six months range from $7,600,000 to $11,700,000.
