The Citation XLS fleet is almost the same size as the Excel fleet. Although similar in size and design, fewer XLS aircraft are currently for sale, creating more competition among buyers. We monitor this fleet closely to give buyers accurate information about their options.
Here’s our most recent analysis for the XLS fleet:
- Availability: There are 325 Citation XLS aircraft in operation today. Seven of those are currently for sale, representing 2.2% of the fleet. This is a decrease from last month, when 10 aircraft were available (3.1% of the fleet).
- Listings: The seven Citation XLS listings have been on the market for an average of 228 days. This is mostly unchanged from last month’s average of 222 days. Asking prices range from $4,995,000 to $7,200,000, with all current listings showing less than 8,000 total hours on the airframe.
- Sales: Three Citation XLS aircraft sold in September, compared to none in August. Over the past six months, 14 XLS aircraft changed ownership, including three off-market sales. Publicly advertised XLS aircraft spent an average of 131 days on the market before selling—up slightly from 129 days last month. XLS sale prices for the last six months ranged from $3,700,000 to $5,950,000.
