Our March 2024 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ2 preowned sales market;
There are currently 235 Citation CJ2s in operation today. Of those 235 there are 16 available for sale, or 6.8% of the fleet. This is unchanged from our February 5th, 2024, update when there were also 16 available for sale.

Of the 16 Citation CJ2s that are currently for sale, they have been on the market for an average of 138 days, up just over two weeks from last month when the average was 122 days. As for the CJ2s that sold over the last six months, they spent an average of 150 days on the market before selling. That is only up slightly from last month, when the average was 141 days. The average days to sell a CJ2 has been on the rise since September, and this is partly due to less domestic CJ2s available for sale, and buyers being hesitant to shop overseas, causing those units to take longer to find a buyer and then sell.

Now looking at pricing trends for the Citation CJ2, of the 16 that are available for sale, they range in asking price from $2,950,000 to $3,650,000. 2 CJ2s sold in February, and 14 CJ2s have sold over the last six months. Of those 14, they sold between $2,750,000 to $3,600,000.
