While listing activity remains steady, sales experienced a slowdown in November.
Market Overview:
Fleet Size & Availability: There are 354 Citation Excels in operation worldwide, with 21 aircraft currently listed for sale, representing 5.9% of the fleet. This marks a slight increase from November when 18 Excels were on the market (5.1%).
Market Listings: The 21 Citation Excels listed have been on the market an average of 156 days, up slightly from 146 days last month. Asking prices range from $1,995,000 to $6,000,000. This reinforces the Excel’s appeal as an affordable “step-up” option for buyers transitioning into the mid-size jet segment.
Sales Activity: Sales cooled in November. Only one Citation Excel sold compared to four in October and five in September. Over the last six months, a total of 17 Excels changed ownership, including eight off-market sales. Publicly listed Excels sold during this period spent an average of 196 days on the market, holding steady from 197 days in October. Sale prices for Excels over the last six months ranged from $2,200,000 to $4,100,000.
