Our August 2024 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ2+ preowned sales market;
There are currently 223 Citation CJ2+ aircraft in operation, with 16 available for sale, making up 7.2% of the fleet. This is a bit higher than last month, when 14 were on the market, or 6.3% of the fleet.
The 16 CJ2+ aircraft for sale today have been listed for an average of 120 days, a slight decrease from last month’s average of 128 days, thanks to a few new listings in July. The asking prices range from about $4,250,000 to $5,290,000.
In terms of sales, July didn’t see any CJ2+ transactions, but over the last six months, 13 have been sold. Of these, four were sold off-market, without being publicly listed. The CJ2+ aircraft that did sell publicly spent an average of 182 days on the market, which is the same as last month. These aircraft sold for prices ranging from around $3,900,000 to $5,200,000.
