Our July 2024 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ2+ preowned sales market;
There are currently 223 Citation CJ2+ aircraft in operation today, with 14 available for sale, representing 6.3% of the fleet. This is an increase from last month, when 12 aircraft were available, or 5.4% of the fleet.
The 14 Citation CJ2+s currently for sale have been on the market for an average of 128 days, up from last month’s average of 104 days. They are listed for prices ranging from $4,340,000 to $5,290,000. This variety of CJ2+s offers potential buyers multiple options when searching for their next aircraft.
In terms of sales, 1 CJ2+ was sold in June, and 14 have been sold over the last six months, with 5 of those transactions occurring off-market. June saw a drop in sales following a three-month stretch of rising sales, with 5 CJ2+s trading in May. The publicly listed CJ2+s spent an average of 182 days on the market before selling, nearly unchanged from last month’s average of 183 days. The sold prices for CJ2+s over the last six months range from approximately $3,900,000 to $5,200,000.
