The Jet Agent is pleased to provide the following Citation CJ3 market update for December 2024.
There are still plenty of CJ3s on the market, but as we hurl toward the year-end tax deadline, we’re seeing an increase in sales.
Here’s the latest with the CJ3 market:
Availability: There are 410 Citation CJ3s in operation today. Of those, 30 are currently for sale, which is 7.3% of the fleet. This is down slightly from last month when 34 were for sale, or 8.3% of the fleet.
Listings: Currently, 30 CJ3s are listed for sale, with an average time on the market of 156 days—down from 176 days last month. Asking prices range from $3,450,000 to $5,895,000. Despite the number of available aircraft, demand remains robust, suggesting another strong sales month ahead in December.
Sales: Six Citation CJ3s sold in November, up from four in October. Over the past six months, 25 CJ3s have been sold, including three off-market transactions. Publicly listed jets spent an average of 152 days on the market before selling, up slightly from 144 days last month. Recent CJ3 sale prices have ranged from $3,700,000 to approximately $5,900,000.
