Citation CJ3 Market Update:
The Jet Agent is pleased to provide the following Citation CJ3 market update for October 2024.
The CJ3 market has been heating up over the past few months. The number of Citation CJ3s for sale today is the highest we have seen since 2019. There are plenty selling, and even more hitting the market replacing the sold aircraft.
Here’s a breakdown of the current market activity:
- Availability: There are currently 410 Citation CJ3s in operation. Of these, 34 (8.3% of the fleet) are for sale, up from 33 (8.0%) last month.
- Listings: The 34 available CJ3s have been on the market for an average of 169 days, an increase from 144 days last month. Asking prices range from $3,695,000 to $5,925,000, covering a wide variety of models from 2004 to 2011.
- Sales: Four Citation CJ3s sold in September, down by just one from August. Over the past six months, 23 CJ3s have sold, with five of those being off-market transactions. Publicly advertised CJ3s spent an average of 147 days on the market before selling, similar to last month’s 144 days. Sales prices over the past six months ranged from $4,175,000 to around $6,450,000.
