Our September 2023 update on what’s happening in the Citation CJ3 preowned sales market;
The Citation CJ3 has been one of the strongest performers in the light jet category since 2020. Over the last 6 months, there have consistently been at least 20 Citation CJ3s for sale at some point during each month. Listing activity has remained active, and so have sales. We have seen a slight decline in sales activity since June due to the usual summer lull in activity when most buyers take a break from the market.

As we head into Q4, which is typically the busiest season for aircraft sales, the inventory level of pre-owned Citation CJ3s is strong. With a current fleet size of 409 aircraft, August concluded with 19 Citation CJ3s for sale (4.6% of the fleet). Â

The average asking price has slowly been rising up to $5.46 Million, a close comparison to the average sold price of the last 6 months at $5.47 Million.
