Our September 2024 update on what’s happening in the Citation Excel preowned sales market;
Currently, 354 Citation Excels are in operation, with 18 available for sale, representing 5.1% of the fleet. This is down slightly from last month, which saw 19 listings (5.4% of the fleet). Listing activity has been steadily increasing since April 2024, highlighting the Excel’s continued popularity.
The 18 aircraft on the market have been listed for an average of 142 days, a slight increase from last month’s 134 days. Buyers today can expect to find prices ranging from $1,895,000 to $4,950,000.
On the sales front, 2 Citation Excels were sold in August, bringing the six-month total to 12 sales. Of those, 4 were off-market transactions, which means they were never publicly advertised. The Excel aircraft that were publicly listed spent an average of 123 days on the market before selling, just slightly above last month’s average of 117 days. Sale prices over the last six months have ranged from $2,850,000 to $5,100,000.
