Our August 2023 update on what’s happening in the Citationjet 525 “CJ” preowned sales market;
The original 525 saw steady activity from June to July. Sales leveled at 2 transactions occurring, and July ended with 18 aircraft available for sale. With 335 aircraft in the fleet, July ended with a healthy 5.4% of all Citation CJs available for sale. The average asking price has slightly decreased since our June update from $1,700,769 to $1,593,063 while current days on market stayed roughly the same from 165 to 171. Sales followed a similar pattern with an average sold price in June of $1,718,126 to $1,657,501 in July, taking an average of 137 days to sell as of our June update to 129 for the July update.
