Our August 2024 update on what’s happening in the Citationjet 525 “CJ” preowned sales market;
There are 335 Citation Jets (CJs) in operation today, and 29 of them are currently up for sale, which is 8.7% of the fleet. That’s just a slight drop from last month when there were 30 for sale, or 9% of the fleet.
The 29 Citation Jets on the market now have been listed for an average of 218 days, up a bit from last month’s 208 days. The asking prices for these jets range from $1,000,000 to $2,600,000.
In July, four Citation Jets were sold. Over the last six months, 21 jets found new owners, with eight of those deals happening off-market, so they were never publicly listed. For the 13 CJs that were publicly available, they spent an average of 108 days on the market before selling, just a slight increase from last month’s 102 days. Sale prices for these jets over the past six months ranged from $1,000,000 to $2,150,000.
