Secured a top-tier Citation CJ4 Gen2 and managed its import from Australia, delivering a perfect fit and seamless acquisition.

When our repeat client asked us to find the newest CJ4 Gen2 at the best possible price, our market intelligence team got to work. Most options were listed in the mid-$12M range. But one stood out: the seller had just dropped the price by $600,000—yet buyers were avoiding it because it was based in Australia and the export/import process seemed daunting.

Where others hesitated, we acted. After electronic logbook review and early due diligence, we made an offer $1M below the reduced ask, contingent on a full inspection. Our technical consultant flew to Australia for a detailed cosmetic review, test flight, and mechanical prebuy. We coordinated a U.S. airworthiness certificate and arranged the ferry flight home.

"I regularly was asked if I wanted to sell my aircraft over the past few years - and I always said no. Denise Wilson (whom I have known for 14 years and helped me with my first Citation purchase - and type rating) approached me last summer about my aircraft and if I wanted to sell it. I gave her the same “no” answer, but this time I had some caveats to it. My mission has changed markedly, and we started talking about what I was using the aircraft for, seats, range, etc. Suddenly, I was starting to think that I would possibly consider selling my aircraft, but then tax considerations started becoming an issue. I also didn’t want my aircraft plastered all over the world that it was for sale. Denise worked with me to design a plan, which would involve a trade for an M2, or a back-to-back for an M2 (much less desirable). She had strict operational parameters, no public posting on the aircraft, no ads, and she was vetting any potential opportunities tightly before she even disclosed information about my aircraft. In the end, she brought me a few deals, and I ended up going with one, and very happy I did. I ended up taking their M2 as partial trade and it was an easy transaction - and I credit Denise and the seller for that. Since there was a trade involved, it made lots of decisions easy - everything became somewhat mutual - what was good for them was good for me and vice versa. … I received an honest value and so did the buyer.
